Coney Island Park

Coney Island is an amusement park on the banks of the Ohio River just east of Cincinnati, Ohio. Coney Island was founded in the 1870's as an apple orchard farm. The orchard was sold to Ohio Grove Corporation and was officially renamed Grove Park, The Coney Island of the West, and opened on June 21, 1886. Over the years, Coney Island became a full-fledged amusement park, complete with rides and carnival games, and became a Cincinnati institution. Coney Island features over 50 rides, slides, and attractions. Built around the area of Sunlite Pool, the largest recirculating swimming pool in the world, Coney Island has eight, exciting water slides, cabanas, and four diving platforms.
